Planning of Evaluation Questions

Blogging Health Check 3

The feedback that I received was pretty negative and that is understandable because I haven't been keeping up with my blog post and uploading all of my ancillary work. Since the feedback however, I have now completed the digipaks and uploaded my 3 flat plan drawings of my work. The only thing that I need to do now is complete my evaluation and complete the post on the Do's and Don't and I hope to complete all that before the deadline which is on Friday.

Differences - Plan to Final (Website)

The website wasn't too different to the plan that I had initially made. I had the same sort of idea and used similar images, however they're in a different position than I had planned. I personally prefer how it turned out as I think it looks more professional and suits the genre more.

BHC3 Reflection

Differences - Plan to Final (Inside the Digipak)

Out of all of the products that I had planned, this is the one that turned out the most different. I decided to stick with the close up shot that I had planned but I decided just to use that for the cd disk as I believe that it looked better. Even though the thank you note is in a different place, I used a similar font and used the exact same words as they were simple and straight forward but gave the message out that I had intended.

Differences - Plan to Final (Digipak Cover and Back)

My final product came out quite a bit different to what I had initially planned. A lot of his was due to the photos that I took. I felt that I took some photos that were too good not to use, therefore I replaced them with photos that I preferred and believed would suit the digipak more.

I used a similar font to what  had planned but the layout of the font is different; where it is placed and the spacing in between words. I also decided not to include numbers on the back alongside the track list.

Blogging Health Check 3

My Blogging Health Check 3 feedback was quite positive and is encouraging as I am almost where I want to be. However, I need to push further to complete my targets as well as try to improve my blogs as a whole to achieve a higher mark.

Survey - Work feedback

In order to get more feedback on my work, I decided to create a survey using SurveyMonkey. Once I created the survey, I distributed it to people in the target audience.

These are the questions that I asked:

The responses that I got were quite mixed. However, the constructive criticism that I received was very helpful and will push me to improve my work and take those comments on board. The results also has shown me that the target audience are able to spot and take into account my use of synergy throughout my work.

Practising using Photoshop 2

After the initial practice with photoshop, I decided that it would be better if I spent more time on it as I wanted to perfect it. I started working on my idea and how I wanted to make it look when I am finished. As you can see from the screenshots above, I was taking it step by step to make sure my it bonds well with my theme and I was also discovering new tools that I could use when it came to making my final work. Overall, this was very useful as now I feel that after a couple attempts, I have really understood how to use and have a better idea of what I want to do.

Practicing using Photoshop

Before we started doing our digipak and advertisement, we had a quick tutorial on photoshop to get an idea on how to use for those who have never used it before. This was very useful as I learnt more skills than before and it really helped me make my work stand out. We took a picture of a former student and learnt how crop her body and blend in her body to go with the background. We were also learning how to use different variety of text to match our theme and the whole tutorial was very beneficial and helped me a lot when it came to doing my final work.

Editing photos for my website!

I decided that because it was a convention of the acoustic genre to use black and white, I wanted to incorporate that in my photos. However, I wanted to keep some of them with full colour as I didn't want to completely over do it. In the video above, you can see my progress and how I edited them.

Digipak Final

After receiving feedback i realised I needed to add the legal information and record label onto my actual CD. I kept everything else the same otherwise

Website Progress

During this video, you can see my progress and how I started to put together my website for the artist.  Here,  I chose a template, uploaded photos and worked on 3 pages of the website.
